Radiation therapy to field covering the mediastinum and bilateral hilar areas - 180 cGy per day to a total of 1980 cGy over 11 fractions. Radiation to the para-aortic and lumbar fields - 180 cGy per day to a total of 1980 cGy over 11 fractions. (1/30-2/13/92). I had persisting problems with nausea and vomiting throughout much of the radiation but it was reasonably controlled with Phenergan.

Low dose radiation therapy of 18 days duration.since it was given to the neck region after a week throat becomes dry and it pains while swallowing food followed by gastric and severe acidity.
Six weeks of External beam Radiation to mediastinum and neck following six months of ABVD Chemotherapy. Side effects: sore and swollen throat caused inability to swallow and eat, radiation burns to skin on neck and chest.
