Medical Term for the Type of Cancer: Invasive, poorly differentiated non-keratinizing squamous cell carcinoma w/basaloid features.
Larynx Cancer Symptoms: Dysphonia, plus on & off sore throat
Surgery Description, Dates & Side Effects: **Total Laryngectomy: May 15, 2014 Currently use an indwelling prosthetic larynx; and relying on my electrolarynx, especially when fatigued. **Emergency Ileostomy due to bowel perforation: March 9, 2016
Chemotherapy Description, Dates & Side Effects: 12 total Erbitux sessions, once weekly, January 13 - March 31, 2011. Increasing fatigue and, ironically, insomnia following each session. From mid February through the end of treatments, somehow the Radiation/Erbitux mix seemed to spawn clusters of migraines.

Bio: I am a 34 year old female, married with 3 daughters and a step son. I was diagnosed with Laryngeal cancer on Nov 3 2011. The cancer covers my entire right vocal cord and extends a small bit into my voice box as well. I start radiation on December 19th, 5 days a week for 6-7 weeks.

Larynx Cancer Symptoms: Hoarse voice for 2 years
Surgery Description, Dates & Side Effects: Biopsy- October 12, 2011- no side effects, was a breeze.
