Surgery Description, Dates & Side Effects: from Oct. 2004 to July 2009 I have had 3 colon surgeries, now there is nothing left, a total hysterectomy and my gallbladder removed. I have had more colonoscopies than I can count...and have had two port-a-caths in and out.
Chemotherapy Description, Dates & Side Effects: two 6 month bouts...one 2004 to 2005. next March 2007 to Sept. 2007 Nueropathy, memory loss, balance issues, joint and muscle pain

Bio: Single Mother of a wonderful 16 year old girl. 3 pets, dog a pug named Guinness, 2 cats Sneakers and Suggles.
Cancer Type: Colon and Rectal Cancer
Stage of Cancer: Stage 3 cancer
Colon and Rectal Cancer Symptoms: Lower abdomnal pressure and pain when having bowels movements, diarreh/hard bowels movements at the same time. Began drinking nutritional drinks for food.
Surgery Description, Dates & Side Effects: Oct. 17 colonoscpy/ Oct 19 removed 18 inches of colon, 15 lymph nodes and appendix. Six days in hospital. Lymph nodes clear cancer had spread outside the wall of colon and almost completely closed off bowels.
Chemotherapy Description, Dates & Side Effects: 6 Months starting Dec 2, 2011. 5 hours every other week. 5-FU, Oxaliplatin and leucovorin. Will bring home 5-Fu in a bag for the weekend will run through port and bag removed on Mondays

Chemotherapy Description, Dates & Side Effects: june 19 through end of nov 19 had chemo every two weeks, mouth sores, metal taste in mouth, hands feet peeled, nausea, severe intolerance to anything cold or hot eating or touching....everything had to be room temp.

Surgery Description, Dates & Side Effects: I had 12" of my Sigmoid Colon removed on 11/19/07. The tumor was 4.3cm at the colonoscopy, but more accurately measured 6.1cm after resection. There were 14 out of 32 lymph nodes with cancer cells present.
Chemotherapy Description, Dates & Side Effects: I had my 1st chemo treatment on 12/10/07. If cancer cells remain, they are microscopic and floating around in my body and being ZAPPED by chemo! I qualified for a trial and receive Erbitux (usually for metastatic cancer) every week (which causes acne). The nausea is gone for now, mouth sores are fading, and acne is blossoming. The…more
