Tonsil Cancer Symptoms: a lump on my right side of neck...no pain only mild pain in throat area from post outpatient surgery when they did exploratory biposy surgery and took pieces of tissue out
Surgery Description, Dates & Side Effects: 1st surgery removed right palatine tonsil/base of tongue on 3/20/09 {by robotic surgery}..in hospital 3 nights 2nd surgery removed right neck lymph node on 3/30/09..in hospital 1 night
Chemotherapy Description, Dates & Side Effects: yes, cisplatin treatment was needed as the lymph node in right neck lump broke through the cell wall; attempted 3 chemo treatments {large doses} every 21 days followed by 2 days of 2 hour treatments of iv saline soutions to wash out the chemo and lessen its effects on my kidney, though my body had too intense side effects..the chemo…more

Sarcoma Symptoms: There isnt any symptoms with this type of cancer. Its a soft tissue it moves with the body.
Surgery Description, Dates & Side Effects: Had surgery 2013. Half of right lung removed, 18 lymph node removed. Upper back pain. Shortness of breath.
Chemotherapy Description, Dates & Side Effects: Gleevec, vomiting, diarra, swollen eyes and ankles, cramping in hands feet arms legs, fatique, from 10/19/07 till 5/2013. Didn't work for me after awhile.

Surgery Description, Dates & Side Effects: 4/9/13 splenectomy - laparoscopic spleen removal surgery wasnt to bad, overnight stay recovery painful.. still in the healing healing process.
Chemotherapy Description, Dates & Side Effects: 6 cycles of r- chop 5/1/13 felt good just some tiredness, 5/29 pretty much the same as last treatment, 6/5 this round kicked my butt extremely tired very achy steriods had me feeling pretty crazy asked to have dosage lowered.

Tongue Cancer Symptoms: While on the computer, I felt a lump in my neck. I went for a biopsy and it came back positive for Squamous Cell Carcinoma. The scary thing is I was at my healthiest time of my life as far as eating and exercising and showed NO other signs of being sick.
