Cancer Type: Parotid Cancer
Medical Term for the Type of Cancer: Intermediate Mucoepidermoid Carcinoma (my tumor)
Parotid Cancer Symptoms: Tumor below/behind my left ear, on salivary gland/parotid gland, attached to facial nerve.
Surgery Description, Dates & Side Effects: Parotidectomy, they did about a 3 inch long incision behind my ear, around the lobe up to the front, and then down my neck. My parotid gland was removed. I had this surgery on October 8th, 2014. Side effects from the surgery: little facial movement, severe nerve damage, shoulder pain due to nerve damage, hearing loss.

Cancer Type: Colon and Rectal Cancer
Stage of Cancer: Stage 3 cancer
Colon and Rectal Cancer Symptoms: Lower abdomnal pressure and pain when having bowels movements, diarreh/hard bowels movements at the same time. Began drinking nutritional drinks for food.
Surgery Description, Dates & Side Effects: Oct. 17 colonoscpy/ Oct 19 removed 18 inches of colon, 15 lymph nodes and appendix. Six days in hospital. Lymph nodes clear cancer had spread outside the wall of colon and almost completely closed off bowels.
Chemotherapy Description, Dates & Side Effects: 6 Months starting Dec 2, 2011. 5 hours every other week. 5-FU, Oxaliplatin and leucovorin. Will bring home 5-Fu in a bag for the weekend will run through port and bag removed on Mondays

Thyroid Cancer Symptoms: None! A completely accidental finding on an MRI for an unrelated issue.
Surgery Description, Dates & Side Effects: Left thyroid lobectomy, 3/13/12 to remove a nodule. The nodule came back as cancer. Completion thyroidectomy on 4/13/12. No side effects except resulting hypothyroidism. My scar has healed very well and I feel good.

Cancer Type: Tonsil Cancer
Stage of Cancer: Stage 4 cancer
Medical Term for the Type of Cancer: Squamous Cell Carcinoma. HPV cause
Tonsil Cancer Symptoms: None, No pain. Constant feeling of something stuck in my throat, Left swollen tonsil noticed by my wife. Swollen left cervical Lymph nodes (2).
Surgery Description, Dates & Side Effects: 3 Biopsies w/ Triscope- Feb 10th, 2012. G-Tube placed- March 3rd, 2012, 12 Teeth extracted. Only side effects were pain and some nausea.
Chemotherapy Description, Dates & Side Effects: Cituximab Loading dose March 13th, High fever and severe headache. Second of 8 treatments March 21st. Only side effect was severe heartburn.
