Bio: I am a Hodgkins Lymphoma survivor. I am in remission since September 2008. My journey commenced in 2006. I started my Masters degree in chemistry at the NMMU (Port Elizabeth, South Africa). Cancer Type: Hodgkins Lymphoma
Stage of Cancer: Stage 4 cancer
Hodgkins Lymphoma Symptoms: Rapid weight loss, persistent cough, itching, night sweats and fatigue.
Surgery Description, Dates & Side Effects: splenectomy - an operation to remove your spleen - in August 2008.
Chemotherapy Description, Dates & Side Effects: Chemotherapy from August 2006 - September 2007. Some of the chemotherapies were ABVD, ARA-C and carboplat. Side effects experienced were hair fell out, constipation, low white blood and platelet counts, nausea, vomiting, pain in joints.
