Surgery Description, Dates & Side Effects: Laparoscopy to remove ovarian mass followed by laparoscopy for staging
Chemotherapy Description, Dates & Side Effects: I had three rounds of chemo in three week cycles. Week 1: 5 days of treatment (admitted in hospital) Week 2: Recovery in hospital Week 3: Recovery at home I experienced low blood pressure, dehydration, nausea, fatigue and anaemia. I still have fatigue after treatment, muscle atrophy and peripheral neuropathy.

Hodgkins Lymphoma Symptoms: Lower back pain which became constant, responded well to NSAIDs and panadol which is probably why I put up with it for so long. Also got fevers, night sweats, mildy pruritic skin.
Surgery Description, Dates & Side Effects: Cervical lymph nodes removed Sep 2009. Surgery went smoothly. Iliac (abominal lymph node removed) and ovary removed for freezing after relapse in April 2010. PermCath placed R side of chest/neck May 2010 for salvage chemo and autograft of stem cells.
Chemotherapy Description, Dates & Side Effects: ABVD for 6 cycles (12 treatments). Was quite well tolerated, tired for a few days after, hair loss, mild nausea but no vomiting, changes in bowel motions, mild rash on feet and arms, aching veins. MADEC (methotrexate, cytosine, dex, etoposide, cyclophosphamide) for 2 cycles, one week of chemo in hospital, 2 weeks to recover then repeat. Fatigue, mild nausea, hair loss. BEAM…more
