Acute Myeloid Leukemia Symptoms: Enlarged glands all over my body; insane tiredness, I basically got home and all I did was sleep; swelling all over my body, but especially around my face and my eyesight got really bad, to the point where I actually had to get glasses. Cancer Type: Colon and Rectal Cancer
Stage of Cancer: Stage 3 cancer
Colon and Rectal Cancer Symptoms: Lower abdomnal pressure and pain when having bowels movements, diarreh/hard bowels movements at the same time. Began drinking nutritional drinks for food.
Surgery Description, Dates & Side Effects: Oct. 17 colonoscpy/ Oct 19 removed 18 inches of colon, 15 lymph nodes and appendix. Six days in hospital. Lymph nodes clear cancer had spread outside the wall of colon and almost completely closed off bowels.
Chemotherapy Description, Dates & Side Effects: 6 Months starting Dec 2, 2011. 5 hours every other week. 5-FU, Oxaliplatin and leucovorin. Will bring home 5-Fu in a bag for the weekend will run through port and bag removed on Mondays

Breast Cancer Symptoms: I really had no symptoms that I noticed. I accidentally found the first lump in 1994 myself. The second one in 2005 was detected during my annual mammogram. I would never have found this one because it was in the center of the breast at the back wall.
