Cancer Symptoms: Blood in the stool and pain in the anal area. The tumour is very close to the anus and before radiation used to partially impede bowel movements.
Surgery Description, Dates & Side Effects: I will find out at the end of this month whether my doctor will operate to remove the rectal tumour. I guess it depends on the prognosis for the lung cancer. Surgery will result in a permanent colostomy however it should give me a better quality of life.
Chemotherapy Description, Dates & Side Effects: Very little after affects from the chemo other than slight nausea and some fatique. They had to cut the chemo treatments short in order to focus on the radiation treatments. Had a port-a-cath installed for future chemo treatments.

Chemotherapy Description, Dates & Side Effects: FOLFOX every two weeks for 12 treatments total through a port installed in my chest. Started 3/17/14. Main side effects are fatigue and bouts of nausea. Catheter from my port ruptured 2 months into treatment. Port replaced 7/3/14.
