Cancer Symptoms: Hard lymph node on left side of neck
Surgery Description, Dates & Side Effects: 8/7/12-tonsilectomy and biopsies of throat and tongue; throat & tongue NED; cancer in left tonsil; 8/29/12-lymph node removal; one lymph node positive, others NED.
Chemotherapy Description, Dates & Side Effects: 6 low-dose cisplatin treatments, one every Monday for 6 weeks. Felt great; actually took away the joint pain I experience from Lupus!

Cancer Symptoms: Lump near right tonsil that was painless. No one could see it at first but it developed into what looked like an ulcer. I insisted on an MRI which showed nothing but swelling. After another month another doctor insisted on a biopsy and my ENT agreed to remove the entire tonsil to biopsy it.
Surgery Description, Dates & Side Effects: Removal of right tonsil; extreme pain for a week and then it subsided. List 8 lbs. was very painful to eat.
Chemotherapy Description, Dates & Side Effects: Waiting for petscan results to see if lymph nodes involved
