While on the computer, I felt a lump in my neck. I went for a biopsy and it came back positive for Squamous Cell Carcinoma. The scary thing is I was at my healthiest time of my life as far as eating and exercising and showed NO other signs of being sick.
Strange taste and loss of taste but no pain, no lumps or other symptoms. Discovered during a routine MRI. I thought it was sinus trouble.
A very sore tongue. It hurts to eat and talk.
White spot on my tongue that turned into a huge red lump. My pcp kept telling me that is was an ulcer that was being caused by an infection in my body. Finally almost a year later when i could no longer take the pain i finally demanded he send me for a biopsy.
My daughter Sarah noticed a sore on her tongue. Thought it was from biting it. she went to a doctor. He diagnosed her with thrush, gave her meds and sent her on her way. Meds did nothing.. she went back to the same doctor for a 2nd and 3rd time. He told her there was nothing more he could do for her and to stop wasting both his and her time. My daughter lived with this sore on her tongue for over a year.She woke up one morning in horrible pain and her tongue was black. She went to see her personal doctor, She sent Sarah to a ear,nose and throat doctor. That next day he did a biopsy on her tongue. The day after that 2-4-2010 she called me and told me she had cancer. This cancer spread to her lymph nodes then to her lungs. She passed away on 12-26th-2010.
Sore throat.
Lump on side of neck that was diagnosed as brachial cleft cyst. Biopsy came back positive for squamous cell carcinoma and shocked everyone, including the ENT.

Although when I was diagnosed, I was mentally and physically, the healthiest I had ever been, had a long standing habit internalizing my stress and of biting my tongue in my sleep. I had developed a sore patch on the right hand side of my tongue and went to my doctor who didn't think it was anything to be concerned about but I knew something wasn't right in my body so I insisted on a biopsy.. thank god I did because we caught it early.
1/4 inch flat ulcer on left side of tongue. First noticed 18 months ago but ignored it. Now is painful and larger. I am uncomfortable providing any more information on the internet.
Tongue and ear pain for 10 months ...went to 3 doctors/dentists 2x each and nothing found before the lump appeared on the tongue. In 2007-2009 annually a precancerous lesion removed from tongue.
