Hard mass under right side of jaw. Thought was a badly swollen lymph node, as a result of a possible infection from a broken tooth. Suffered a stroke in my sleep, which prompted me to visit a doctor (first since '93), who sent me to the ER. The cancer was discovered during testing, and -- perhaps fortunately, because of treatment response results in studies -- related to having contracted HPV about 25years ago. Virus is long gone, but it was able to tweak some DNA while using my body as a guest house.
