Whipple procedure 12/01/2015. No side effects really at all. I was extremely lucky. I was off work for three months and now just about back to normal.
After almost a year of hearing No/Yes/Maybe my Dad had his Whipple at JH in Baltimore in March, after one week we went home. They also gave him electroporation to treat the tumor that had been resting on the artery.

whipple on november 8, 2016. Was painful for about 2 weeks , still painful when eating and sometimes moving . Nausea is constant, but he is able to handle.

An Appleby was performed on March 3, 2017 at Johns Hopkins to remove a tumor on the body of my pancreas. Fifty percent of pancreas removed along with gall bladder and spleen and 22 lymph nodes. The surgery was successful. Margins clear and lymph nodes negative. Recovery has been long and difficult but I am finally beginning to feel better. Struggling to discover what I can and cannot tolerate as far as food. Fatigue is never-ending.
May 5, 2017. Hospitalized for 6 days. Came home with tubes, drains and a feeding tube.
