Surgery to remove cancer on March 10, 2011
Tumor on left side of my tongue towards the back was finally removed March,15,2010.. I was set for treatment when the Dr's found another tumor in my neck. I was sent to the Big Dogs in Boston,Ma and they decided that was also another tumor on the left side of the tongue as well as a tumor in the neck attached to the caroited artery. So on June 18th,2010 I had surgery to removed the tumor in my neck, the second tumor on my tongue and also had a radical neck disection.
Laryngectomy to remove 5 lymph nodes on right side of her neck. A tracheodomy since she had difficulty breathing from the tumor that was growing in her neck. Plus a feeding tube
Cyst removal on 7/2/12, PET scan on 7/16/12. Tonsillectomy on 7/24/12 because ENT thought that was the site of the primary, biopsy of throat, nasal passage, and base of tongue. Base of tongue on left side shows positive.
December 2013
Removal of tumor 3/8/2012. With lymph node dissection. Reconstructive Surgery, tracheotomy, feeding tube insert. 12 hour surgery. 9 days in hospital. Recoup for a month at home, then Radiation treatment
13 Nov 2012, extremely sore throat for one month, lost taste temporarily, raspy voice.
Punch out of tumor on tonsil. HPV positive
July 2015. Tongue reconstruction healed, but graft to small. Need additional tongue reconstruction surgery.

1990 - removal of the sore and I was good to go. 1997 - Hemmiglossectomy with donor site from Right arm, Radical neck, healed for a few weeks and then treatment began. Treatment nearly killed me!!
Glossectomy, full neck disection, reconstructive surgery
Glossectomy. Required tracheotomy. Tumour cut away, and a flap from my left arm and wrist reconstructed my tongue. Skin graft from stomach to replace missing wrist tissue. Various teeth removed. Lymph nodes in neck removed. February 2010. 12 hour operation and was in high dependency unit for 2 days, spent 3 weeks in hospital in total, I made a quick recovery. Had to leant to eat and drink, and speak. Swallowing affected, often choking in the early days and years, towards 4 years after have got used to not choking though it still occurs sometimes even today. In the first 6 months significant facial swelling but kinesio tape used to address, which took around 9-12 months to go, and after 2 years no swelling evident.
Partial Glossectomy, Tracheostomy and Reconstruction from graft of left forearm tissue. Neck Dissection to remove 49 Lymph nodes from right side of my Neck. 14 hour surgery date 30 May 2016
Removed appropriately half of tongue in 2015. Annually in 2007-2009 got margins when removed precancerous lesions. In 2002 benign pituitary tumor removed. 2005 Mose surgery on nose for cancer.
Neck dissection, tracheostomy, feeding tube
3 surgeries to remove 3 different spots on tongue at different times. All within year 1/2. Swollen lymph node in neck disected for testing. No side effects yet except for scar tissue on tongue.
