RT thyroidectomy/isthmusectomy 9.25.2015 Sore throat for a couple days, killer neck ache in my back from the way your body is positioned on the operating table
Total Thyroidectomy with right neck dissection 06/22/2017. Removed total thyroid gland and 32 lymph nodes ranging from center of night to up the right side of my neck and behind my right ear. Surgery lasted 7 1/2 hours due to the amount of lymph node involvement. Also has some heart issues due to the surgery and afterwards had calcium and bleeding issues. I now suffer from Hypocalcemia and will for the rest of my life. So I am constantly tired, light headed and sometimes have camping over my entire body due to issues keeping my calcium up.
