First surgery was 7/2/2012, a right-hemicolectomy where they removed part of my small intestines and appendix. I had 10 tumors in my small intestines and my appendix was completely tumor. 11 of 13 lymph nodes were also positive for cancer. I had "multiple" liver tumors ranging in size from a few mm to 4 cm. I had liver cytoreduction sugery Feb. 21, 2013. While we new this was not curative, it could give me extra time as Carcinoid/NET cancer is usually slow-growing. The surgeon removed about 7 tumors but I still have "multiple" lesions ranging from a few mm to 1.2 cm. I have been stable since surgery with no growth and no new visible tumors.
Had a Laparoscopic Appendectomy (Feb 6, 2015) and a Laparoscopic Right Colectomy (Mar 26, 2015). 8 inches of my colon was removed.
