Biopsy only
4-5-2017 Anal tumer removed, 4 mos late, more bleeding and pain
Anal excision 1/30/18 removed most of the tumor. Pain from surgery lasted about 4 weeks, difficulty managing bowel consistency to keep soft enough to pass relatively easily
I honestly cannot say I had colorectal surgery - I had what I thought was a very small hemorrhoid removed and poof instead it was 3 cm cancerous tumor. I just didn't know how to get rid of the Surgery choice and it was the closest thing I could come up with to what I had done. I also had my port inserted and removed, no fun but love my surgeon he is awesome!!
After a negative biopsy during a colonoscopy (3-2018), went in for surgery to have the lesion removed...another biopsy of the removed tissue showed it was cancer. I bounced back from the lesion removal surgery pretty quick.
Hemorrhoids removed 9/12/2018. Excruciating pain! Hallucinations from pain meds & anesthia. Chemo port inserted & removed. Continuous itching. 2nd Anal surgery 4/2019 to check margins.
Of teh intial tumor in 2018 all was taken out, but an area of pre-cancerous cells (AIN 3)was found around it and in the cutting edges of the wound.

3 since September 2017; multiple biopsies under anesthesia No real side effects; I am lucky that I don’t experience any pain after the procedures. Any discomfort or bleeding is relieved by soaking in a tub of warm water. I also have a bidet attachment on my toilet which is great, and I blast the area with cold water every time I go to the bathroom.
Biopsy (High grade dysplasia)
Port put in 3/15/2021
No surgery, only chemo and radiation treatments.
2020 Colorectal Surgery; side effects - Blood clot
Not offered.
