Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia Cancer Surgeries

What Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia Cancer Survivors said about their Cancer Surgeries.

port a cath x 2 bma (cant remember how often)
My only surgeries other than the lymph node biopsy I had - were all for ports to be placed. I've had 3 total. One through my entire first treatment, and so far 2 for this time around. My first port was placed fine, except that I got a collapsed lung from where the surgeon cut my lung on accident. 2nd port just always gave us trouble, and kept getting stuck until one day it just quit working. Would flush, nothing. Had to be replaced. 3rd port - it works great but the Dr had such a hard time getting it in that a lot of blood went down around my lung causing me a lot of pain for about a month every time I took a breath. We actually had to stop treatment for a month until this went away.
PICC Line & Hickman Line placement.
Surgery to remove a tumor in neck. Second surgery in same place a week later due to my neck swelling.
I received lumbar punctures (spinal taps) weekly for about 12 weeks. Headaches were common.
