Protect your Cleavage

Summer is still with us, and so is time for a few more pool parties and leisurely strolls on the beach. It’s also the time for sunburns, which increase your risk of developing skin cancer, including the deadliest form, melanoma.

When exposing your cleavage on the sunny shores, are you also remembering to put sun block where you might need it most — those parts of your body, like your cleavage and breasts, that are rarely exposed to sunlight?

Even those of us who are wise and regularly use sun block to protect our arms, legs, face, and maybe our neck, can easily forget to include the upper front half of our torsos.

The same advice goes for your teens. Squirt or slather sun block on them too, whether they want you to or not. People tell me that the new spray-able sunblocks are so quick to use that the kids won’t have time to get all apoplectic about your delaying them from getting into the water.

Let me tell you: Radiation from the sun will age your breast skin prematurely, causing it to wrinkle and even get age spots a few years from now. So, even if you think (wrongly!) that you are somehow immune to getting skin cancer, regular use of sun block will help keep your breast skin soft, supple, and freckle-free.

Do the right thing and use sun block every day, everywhere on your body. (Well, everywhere the sun’s gonna shine, that is!)
