StandUp2Cancer
July 10th, 2008

On September 5, 2008 at 8pm ET/PT there will be a televised fund raiser that promises to get results in the War on Cancer. View it as the New Labor day Telethon that effects almost every family in America directly and could potentially help save the Lives of someone you love maybe even one of your children!

Stand Up To Cancer is launching a new movement to attack Cancer once and for all by pushing promising Scientific breakthroughs to the finish.

Cancer takes one person every minute. One life in a moment.

They are our brothers, our sisters (My Sister-Megin S. Fanz 11/20/1975-1/31/2005), our fathers and mothers, our husbands and wives, our best friends, our children, ourselves. Inspired to act by our own personal experiences with cancer, we recognize that we can no longer rely on the current system alone to give us the breakthroughs we need. So, we are calling on the public to help take matters into our own hands, investing in a revolution that will change the way scientist and clinicians work to understand and treat these diseases. Stand Up To Cancer is more than a rallying cry. It is a galvanizing force created to urgently move cancer research forward. This is where the end of cancer begins: when we unite together in one unstoppable movement and Stand Up To Cancer.

I have been searching for 3 years to find a way to Help in the Fight against Cancer and Tell my Sister’s Story. I want other young women to know the Importance of Pap Smears, HPV Testing and Abstinence or Using Proper Protection During Intercourse. I also want them to know that if they ignore any or all of these things it could Kill them because Cervical Cancer Killed my sister!

I am asking you to help join me in the Fight against Cancer.
I have started the Megin S. Fanz Memorial Fund
