I am having such a lonely day.Views: 573

I spent the entire weekend hurling everything that I drank or ate until my gut hurt so bad. My doc is trying to get Kytril approved so I can take it for the nausea. I hate feeling so sick and being alone.

Patti have you tried Zofran? It works very well for me. Feel better..Im praying for you.

Patti – I’m sorry you’re going through this, but don’t feel as if you’re alone. We’re here for you! I wish I could give you advice for your nausea, but I didn’t suffer so much from that as much as I did other side effects. Stay hydrated with water and Gatorade. I’ll be thinking and praying for you.

Patti. I can understand how you feel as they same thing happens to me. My doctor has put me on Metoclopramide which works really well. Hope you will be feeling better soon. You are in my thoughts and prayers

I have been so lucky and have not had nausea or vomiting. I have had other intense gastrointestinal problems and have gotten dehydrated. Do your best to try and keep at least fluids down. I use Gatorade right after chemo. It really helps me. I can look at my hands right after chemo. They are all wrinkly and the skin is crinkly. Then I drink Gatorade and my hands look normal and the skin is smooth. I thought my husband was crazy when he insisted that I start on the Gatorade but he was right.

I took Kytril and Zofran. Be aware 1 or the other, I can’t remember which one but one of them give you headaches that are so hard to get rid of.
I tried everything and nothing worked. Are they monitoring dosages carefully? Be sure they are not giving you more of the drugs than they should be for your weight.
My friend was given way too much 5-FU over a 2 month span. They finally realised it and lowered the dose but she was very very sick in the meantime.
I know I am being a mother hen.
Feel sorry for my daughter now?
I am a mother hen to everyone I know and now all of you that I don’t know personally. Wish I could tell you exactly what could help. Everyone is different. Just trial and error.
Donna
