New Breakthrough ImmunotherapyViews: 1448

Hi. My wife Briggs has inoperable stage IV rectal cancer, with it having spread to her colon, vaginal wall, and lungs. I’ve started a petition page at
http://www.petition.co.uk/New_Breakthrough_Cancer_Immunotherapy
to get her on a new breakthrough immunotherapy that’s going into advanced clinical trials. It’s had uniquely successful results not only for colorectal cancer but also for renal and prostate cancer, and is to target “a range of other solid tumours” including breast and lung cancer. It’s also been “safe and well tolerated,” with “no serious adverse events.” I’d imagine most members of this blog would agree with me that it’s the direction cancer treatment needs to be moving in much more rapidly. My hope is that you’ll join me in this petition, and send as many people as you can to it, to ensure that Briggs gets on the as-yet-unannounced stage IV colorectal trial and that with your help we can make her somewhat of a “poster child” (woman) for it, drawing enough attention to it that the development process will be markedly accelerated, so that it will become available for the entire range of solid tumours as soon as humanly possible. At the moment, it’s only planned for introduction to the U.S. market in 2009. And I’m told those projections are usually always never met. That’s an awful lot of people, including Briggs, who might otherwise be saved. (I mention in the petition that the URL above is for a page where I’ve put up a few recent photos of Briggs, especially one before she had a revision colostomy surgery with her grin that keeps surfacing through everything; and that the “website is ironically for a feature film we made, a period romantic drama that was inspired by Briggs’s mother’s reaction to Briggs’s father dying of cancer, except that we changed it to the husband having to come to terms with his wife’s untimely death, a loss I’m hopeful, and would be so greatly appreciative, to leave in his imagined hands.”)

My mother is on immuno therapy but you need to leave the country for that. I suggest this Hospital in Argentina. They have amazing results! http://crescenti.com.ar/english/index.html

My mother has Limited stage lung cancer and she had a 3 inch tumor 2 months ago that is alomst completely gone.

Thanks. It’s nice to know it’s working for your mother. I’m really happy for her. You must feel so relieved. The clinical trials for this immunotherapy have actually been in London and in cancer centers around the U.S. This one I want to get my wife on, and bring attention to, will be the same, either here or in London, but they’re aiming at the U.S. market, so probably here.

The sad thing is these immuno therapys have been around for over 10 years and our counrty is susposed to be a world leader and we are still only using chemo/radiation for cancer patients. Immuno therapy is so much better and not even 1% as bad as chemo. It doesnt poison your system and make you sick.
