Chemo round 2

Well last week my mom had her 2nd round of Chemo. 3 days of it Wed-Fri along with her radiation which ends on the 19th thank god! I think my mom has more side effects from the radiation then anything, her throat feels like it is closed up and they had to perscribe her a lidacaine to numb her throat just so she can eat. On top of that she can only eat soft room temp foods cause it hurts so much to swallow.

Other then that she is just weak and tired. She still has an appetite and a personality. Most of her hair is gone and she is getting a little rash or redness where her hat lays on her head. She is a real trooper I dont know how she does it. We are getting her a custom made wig this week apparrently insurance covers a good part of it. They customize it to her head shape and style/color. I hope it raises her spirits. She thinks her white blood count is going down again and we wont know till Friday when she sees the Onconlogist. I hope not those shots are horible she just crys when she thinks of them they put her is so much physical pain. She wants to go away and see some friends for Thanksgiving but we’ll have to wait and see how she feels. It really sucks we have to go through this every month and they just say it gets worse. The tumor is shrinking and we just found out she will also have to have radiation to the brain as a prevenative measure. Only 10 days but still. Its better then it spreading though. I hate this disease! I just wish nothing but good things for everyone one here!
