| TLC For the Husband | Views: 566 |
A article on post chemo and radiation at UCLA Westwood.
It read that sometimes the husband will need TLC to get through the
experience with you. The caretaker will need a way to have someone
lick his wounds if you know what I mean. It is hard to explain but
essentially you are getting all the attention. Men still need the
hugs, kisses, and especially the thank you for helping when and if he
moves the slightest finger (with a smile).

> Acknowledging his presence is about the best way I could describe
it. He does feel sad for whats going on but again its Venus vs. Mars.
He is in his cave right now. Give him his space and keep dialoging
with him but only about what you can expand with him that is positive.
He almost needs it more than you do. Try it and let me know how it
goes for the rest of the day. Yes we have to be tacticians sometimes.
This was on the Yahoo Breastcancer2 Groups. I am a member
I wanted to share it with you.
I understand some husbands can not deal with this and that is their loss.
