Cancer

Hello thanks for taking to to look at my page
If just 3 years ago anyone would have told me I would be making a page like this and writing about our life I would have told them they were crazy.
3 years ago my husband of 15+years was diagnosed with non-small cell cancer stage (4).
he has had it spread and has had surgery’s to remove tumors and lymph nodes, and weeks & weeks of chemotherapy and radiation treatments..He got so sick from treatments I did not know if he could make it, at one time he almost need a feeding tube..Our main worry is/was getting him what he needs , but really din’t not anything other than taking care of him & getting him everything he needed..Cancer not only eats away your health , it eats away your family & money..Something needs to be done about the high cost of meds , NO way should 60 pills cost $1700..And if you don’t have a very good insurance they don’t care if you die it just saves them money..his insurance would not cover allot of his medication, some have been as much as $1700 for a months supply of one med some of the other are $200 or $300 month..The insurance would pay for ones that where $20, $50 but god forbid they pay for any of the high priced ones..His Meds I had to put on credit cards after our money was gone and now have $12,000 on the cards..We have 3 children here in our home 2 of them under age 6. I am employed at the same place for more than 10 years, but now only part Time due to having to care for my husband and get to him for treatments and to doctors (he has 8 doctors). The past 3 years we have used everything we had for his medical and just to live..We are now in total financial distress, We have nothing left,,With what income we have coming in now we don’t even have what we need to cover our bill each month , As of now our house payment, electricity, water, gas, and credit cards are all late..I have only been able to pay a small amounts to each just to keep them from being turned off..We are just normal people , we always have been hard working never used government help, We always gave to others, bought for other children at Christmas that would have not had Christmas otherwise..Now we see things can happen to anyone and completely wipe out ever thing….I don’t know were else to turn, I just see no way out, all I do is worry I don’t sleep and my health has not been so good my doctor thanks most of it due to stress and not sleeping..Someone had said try putting something on the Internet that everyone has needed help sometime in life and other may want to help to pay it forward for the help they got..
