animic--I also have lupus and this was found on a routine blood test. I had no other symtoms. Had I got a colonoscopy one year earlier at age 50, I probably would not have got cancer. Please have a colonoscopy at least by age 50! Earlier if there is a family history or if you have symtoms.

Analyzed by a PA to probably be a manifestation of diverticulitis shown on sigmoidoscopy 2 yrs before. Six weeks later further flushings resulted in ER admission to Holy Cross Hospital January 31, 2005.

Really had none but in hindsight there were signs. My abdomen was bloated - no pain, I could fall asleep sitting up. Crying for long periods of time for seemingly no reason at all. Not feeling myself - thought I was depressed. Upon diagnosis there was blood in my stool and my stools were darker than normal but I never paid attention to that and never saw any blood. Also had reoccurent urinary tract infections in the 1.5 prior to diagnosis

Bowel blockage, made my husbadn violently ill. Went to the ER and they sent him home the first time with suppositories to help end the blockage. Next time to the ER they did exploratory surgery and found the tumor. And so the rest of our ride follows.

I had pain in my left side for several months. After trying medication for stomach problems and having an upper endoscopy, my doctor decided to order a ct scan just to check. Turns out there was nothing on the left side, but there was a mass on my right side near my colon. Totally unexpected since that wasn't even where my pain was.
October 2007 started with infrequent stomach pain and unusual bowel movements. December 2007 more frequent stomach pain, blood in stools, and excessive tiredness.

My symptoms increased over a 6 mo. period I think. At first, from what I can recall, I started having bowel movements that were painful, including vomitting. I was tired all the time. As time progressed, my stools were pencil thin, and I would pass black blood clots at times. Near the diagnosis, my stools were watery daily, often bloody and painful with increasing vomitting. My stomach often felt like Pop Rocks were in it, just girgly feeling after I would eat, which led to loss of appetite. Currently, post surgery: tiredness, stabs of pain from nowhere, that were there BEFORE the surgery, achiness, loss of appetite, tired above all, no energy.

Poor bowel habit for a year. Don't put if off check up or ignore signs. I was diagnosed state four right off because I ignored it. Look after your body, it is the only one you have!
