I love her more than anything as well. She's my mom. But our disagreements are what they are. imageRumpidito - Hospice  After reading extensively on this site, I have decided to give up the fight before I do the battle.  I am going to pursue Hospice care and end this nightmare.  I have been VERY fortunate to have a WONDERFUL bird vet who is going to take all 16 of my parrots on Tuesday, that is a load off my mind.  I refuse to live a terrible life during and after treatment and always have that proverbial sword hanging over my …More…

imageLyssa - Easter Egg Hunting   Just got back from my Egg Retrieval.   To be honest, the enema was a lot worse than the entire procedure. There is nothing worse then having someone force liquid up your ass and then it coming out and exploding. I was crying and screaming and it was so uncomfortable. I definitely don't think I ever want anal sex if I can't even take an enema up there! I didn't have explosive diarrhea or anything, and there wasn't even that much of …More…

imageRumpidito - Don't you just love insurance companies?  My oncology office called me and told me they put in an order for the PET scan STAT on Tuesday (today is Friday).  She said they have 72 hours to decide and can take up to 2 weeks to approve it.  She called them to see what the status was and systems were down, please call back later.  I asked her what would happen if I went ahead and scheduled and she said I would be responsible for paying for …More…

imageRumpidito - skin care during radiation  Just putting this out there for raditation patients for anal cancer.  I have not started yet but my radiologist said she had a man with anal cancer that used vitamin E oil and he had the best skin she ever saw.  She told me to use that on the female parts only and Aquaphor on the rest and that moisture was the problem so keep everything very dry, if possible use a fan and use the Domboro powder with sitz …More…

imageEmily - Checking In  4/17: I tried just now to stand up and walk to the lamp so that I could turn it off. I got dizzy and started seeing flashing lights in front of my eyes. It’s like in Speed Racer! Now I’m laying back down feeling like I may or may not pass out. Everything is kind of moving and I’m still seeing flashing lights. I’m getting an intense headache right now, so I’m going to try to go back to sleep. This …More…
